In an empty working folder, build a small work queue made of plain files: one folder per state (open, busy, done, aside), one
small file per task, and a way to put a task in, take the next one for a named agent, finish or set one aside, put back what
has been busy too long, and show a board with the count and age per state. Stay inside this folder: no database, no network,
nothing installed. Taking a task must be safe when two agents do it at the same moment, without a separate lock. Test it
yourself with five made-up tasks: show that two agents taking at once get different tasks, show the board, put back a task
that stalled, and show that taking from an empty queue says there is nothing to do.
