I work as a software developer, employed. Alongside that I build software with AI agents, designed the programming language Wantzel and wrote the book you see on this site.
Before I taught machines work, I taught people work: I supervised day programmes and work-based learning. It turns out to be the same question. How do you make a task small and clear enough to succeed?

When existing tools fall short, I build my own. That is how Wantzel came about.
Wantzel
A small, strict, fast programming language with its compiler, which I designed. Your code goes in, one file comes out: no dependencies. And when something is wrong, it says so clearly enough that an AI agent can carry on by itself.
