Nine AI agents cost me 230 euros a month

People ask me what that costs so often that I made the sum. Almost everything runs on two subscriptions and a small model that keeps an eye on safety. The server is a separate line.
A subscription has no meter on it, so I built one. Every call an agent makes is written down: which agent, which ticket, which model. That is how you split the bill. Software takes almost two thirds. Ilse, who handles mail, phone calls and invoices, uses very little: short tasks with a clear end are cheap.
On the other side of the sum are more than two thousand closed tickets in just over two weeks. Many are small, so a price per task would flatter the agents. More than a quarter of the work happens at night.
The risk is not the subscription but what you pay per use. An agent stuck in a loop can spend in one night what you expected for a month. That is why every role gets a ceiling before it starts.
